Change Leadership at the Senior Level

Three-point plan for Senior Staff:

1. Optimize Strategic Planning to Reflect the Best Thinking of the Agency.
Interview acknowledged innovators throughout the organization and the broader agency senior leadership. Work together under the director's supervision to design and lead a collaborative session that includes all members of the senior cabinet. Document the resulting key decisions and provide a report.

2. Draft a Global Engagement Action Plan.
Focus on engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization to draw out their unique perspectives in support of the change initiative. Specify the series of activities along a timeline which will engage each stakeholder group: staff members by program, country officers by region, partners in foreign ministries, partner organizations at home and abroad, and beneficiaries.
Purpose of these engagement activities:  gain the insights and participation of all major stakeholder groups, and inspire them to mobilize for action.

3. Generate Strategic Alignment and Define Implementation Responsibilities among Agency Leadership. Under the director's supervision design and lead a collaborative event with all parties at the senior level.
Purpose of the event: engage the entire senior management team in the agency-wide Implementation Timeline and define the commitments necessary in each part of the organization for success.
