A luminous and energizing speaker, Seth Kahan (pronounced “kon”) helps organizations harness the unique power of their business communities to achieve extraordinary leaps in performance. He is a powerful storyteller and he has extensive experience leading change initiatives and working closely with CEOs in a wide range of world-class organizations. Named a “Visionary” by the Center for Association Leadership, Seth is the author of Building Beehives: A Handbook for Creating Communities that Generate Returns.

An expert in using community in the workplace to make change stick, Seth has a gift for teaching organizations how to inspire passion in their people and tap their collective intelligence. His fast-moving talks and seminars are loaded with valuable insights and practical applications.

A former Senior Information Officer at the World Bank, Seth helped spearhead the World Bank’s enterprise-wide knowledge management initiative in 1996 and built communities of practice among the 1100 information service providers in 2001. Seth has been selected by the Center for Association Leadership in Washington, DC to serve as a Business Visionary for his pioneering work in organizational community development and storytelling.

Seth’s first book, Building Beehives, describes how to create high-performance business communities that generate strategic returns. He has published articles in the Journal of Association Leadership, Executive Update, Knowledge Management, and Information Outlook . He has worked with organizations that range from the World Bank and the Fulbright Association to the Center for American Nurses and the Peace Corps.
